My Story
- Dylan Honig Owner of Westridge Wood Co.
Westridge Wood Co. grew out of a lifelong love for building. As a kid, I spent endless hours in my parents’ garage taking things apart, putting them back together, and creating with whatever scrap wood I could find. Summers with my grandfather—who kept a small but well-loved woodshop—deepened that curiosity. He taught me the fundamentals of the craft: how to sharpen a chisel, how to read the grain, and why wood moves the way it does.
After moving to Wenatchee in 2016, I began assembling my own tool collection and designing furniture for my home and for friends. What started as a passion project gradually became a calling, and in 2021 I made the leap, leaving my engineering career to start Westridge Wood Co. full time.
Today, I design and build each piece by hand in my Wenatchee workshop. My work is shaped by Scandinavian, Mid-century, Japanese, and modernist influences—styles that value clean lines, thoughtful details, and an honest relationship to materials. I strive to create furniture that feels warm, functional, and timeless—pieces that will live with families for generations.
Sustainability and respect for the natural world guide every decision. All lumber is responsibly sourced, slabs come from trees at the end of their life cycle, and every finish I use is low-VOC and kid-safe. My goal is simple: to craft furniture that honors the beauty of the wood, respects the environment it came from, and brings lasting joy to the homes it enters.
